that long since I posted huh?

It has been a while. Thanksgiving has come and gone for another year and we cut down our Christmas tree yesterday afternoon. Time flies.

Abby is doing pretty well in 5th grade but has learned that she must put forth more effort and not just slide by in the bare minimum. She has great potential and we would like to see her use more of it. I am not one of those parents that pressures a kid to get the top grade on everything, but we must do well on a more consistent basis.

Gabe is wearing glasses now. This comes as no big surprise around here as the other three of us are focally challenged as well. He seems to have adjusted to them right away. Gabe is starting to learn at school a faster rate, and we hope he can catch up to his peers more by the end of the year. He is reading much more now and math is making some sense as well. He is a bit behind but is making progress.

I am still working on our addition, but it is getting close. The fireplace is done and trim is being made ready to be installed. Of course we still need to buy some furniture, but that will come soon enough.

I have been working quite a bit at Renco, the place I used to work full time before becoming a stay-at-home dad when Abby was born. They are very busy right now and need the extra help. The extra money is good in this time of year. Check out their website at www.rencocorp.com.

Ground Zero in NYC. Tough to get a good photo through the fence, but you can see that the work has begun on the new buildings. Posted by Hello
