Trying to keep up

I can not believe that it has been since 2004 that I posted. I really thought that I would write more than I have. It seems that writing in my blog is just another one of the things that I need to get to.

The home renovation project still goes on. I have not been working on it as much as I thought I would. It is a lot of work. I never expected it to last this long. I know that I could have spent more time on it than I have, as putting things off till later is one of the things I do best. It is one of my many weaknesses, as my wife could attest.

Gabe just finished another stint of basketball at church. They learn skills and about God as well. Gabe called it "Jesus basketball". He enjoyed it. We are looking into some golf activities for him this summer, as he loves to smack the golf balls at the range. He has some ability, but it does need honing.

This summer Krista, Abby and I are going to Peru with many others from our church. We have a sister church in Callao that we partner with. I have been twice before. I will be singing in the choir and at this point Krista will be too. All of the plans have not been worked out as of now. On both of the previous trips, we had about 200 people from Grace go, and we are hoping for 300 this time. You will hear more about this as the trip approaches.

I have been working quite a bit at Renco during the day. It is nice to make a few extra bucks but mostly it is fun to hang out with my brother Thom as we work together. This spring Thom and I will go to Baltimore again for a trade show. Thom and I get along well and have enjoyed this trip twice already.

Most of my time away from home is spent at Renco or at Grace Church. Check them out at their websites, rencocorp.com and atgrace.com.
